It is also known as Space Disk War and was also released in Italy under the name UFO Robot Gattaiger-La grande battaglia dei dischi spaziali. It was originally shown along with the short film Great Mazinger tai Getter Robot G: Kuchu Daigekitotsu, also from Toei and Nagai. The movie is considered the prototype for the future anime TV series UFO Robot Grendizer, which premiered the same year.
Synopsis
Alors que sa planète vient d'être détruite, le jeune Duke Fleed parvient à prendre la fuite à bord de Gattaiger, un robot d'une puissance jusqu'à présent inégalée. Recueilli par le professeur Genzo Umon qui l'élève comme son fils, il parvient enfin à mener une existence paisible sous le nom de Daisuke Umon et travaille dans un ranch aux côtés de la famille Makino. Jusqu'au jour où les forces armées de Yabarn, qui ont détruit la planète Fleed, arrivent à leur tour sur Terre dans le but de s'emparer de Gattaiger...Actors

Les énormes accumulations de pollution et autres déchets toxiques ont fini par donner naissance à une monstrueuse créature, le Dragosaure, sorte de monstre à plusieurs têtes qui paraît immortel et invincible. Pour mettre fin aux ravages et cataclysmes que génère le Dragosaure, les armées envoient leurs meilleures machines de combat : 3 super-robots... Goldorak, Great Mazinger et Getter Robot G, tentent alors de stopper la bête. Le Béliorak s'allie à eux pour combattre cet énorme monstre marin aux proportions démesurées qui se nourrit de pétrole et détruit les côtes du Japons. D'abord mis en déroute par celui-ci, les robots se replient en laissant derrière eux le Béliorak, avalé par le Dragosaure. Après avoir mis au point une tactique de combat, l'équipe retourne sauver le Béliorak et éliminer le monstre... Mais le combat ne s'annonce ni facile, ni de tout repos.

Un soir, au Highton View Terrace, à Tokyo, un œuf constitué de données virtuelles émane de l'écran d'ordinateur de deux jeunes enfants : Taichi et sa petite sœur Hikari. Peu après, l'œuf éclot et une étrange créature en sort. Le monstre évolue progressivement, devenant de plus en plus gros et puissant (il finit par devenir une sorte de dinosaure jaune), ce qui ne manque pas de poser problème lorsqu'il décide de parcourir la ville avec la petite Hikari sur son dos. Taichi se lance à leur poursuite, constatant les dégâts que la créature a provoqués. C'est alors que dans le ciel, un second œuf, cette fois gigantesque, apparaît et une autre créature, ressemblant à une sorte d'aigle — Parrotmon — surgit alors. Les deux monstres se lancent dans un féroce combat au cours duquel le dinosaure se transforme une nouvelle fois en une créature encore plus impressionnante, Greymon. Taichi et Hikari, ainsi que plusieurs autres enfants, assistent à la lutte. Grâce aux encouragements des deux enfants, l'ennemi est terrassé dans une immense explosion.

While meditating beside a waterfall, Piccolo is approached by Gohan and Icarus, with Gohan showing Piccolo a tune he has just learned to whistle. To his shock, Piccolo finds the noise excruciatingly painful due to his enhanced Namekian hearing, and angrily orders Gohan to stop. Meanwhile, at the Capsule Corporation compound, Bulma and her father discover that a meteor is heading toward the Earth and will most likely destroy the planet upon impact. Amidst mass panic throughout the Earth, Goku and Krillin rush to intercept the meteor, blasting it with Kamehameha waves, but fail to damage it. The meteor, however, does not hit Earth, instead passing it and exploding in orbit. When the dust clears, a strange building is present on the Earth.

After a global-scale nuclear war, the majority of earth's surface has become a wasteland, with most of the world's survivors fighting over the few uncontaminated food and water supplies. Kenshiro, the master of the deadly martial art Hokuto Shinken, is traveling with his fiancee Yuria (Julia in English version) when they are confronted by Ken's former friend Shin of the Nanto Seiken. After defeating Ken in combat, Shin engraves seven wounds on Ken's chest and leaves him for dead, taking Yuria with him. Ken's eldest brother Raoh, having witnessed the fight without intervening, returns to his dojo and challenges his Master Ryuken's decision to choose Ken as his successor over him. Raoh kills Ryuken and proclaims he will become the ruler of the new world.
