Chino (Nepali: चिनो) is considered to be one of the most commercially successful films in the history of Nepali cinema. It was directed by Tulsi Ghimire, produced by Bishnu Gopal Shrestha and starred Shiva Shrestha, Bhuwan K.C., Sunil Thapa, Kristi Mainali, Sharmila Malla, Subhadra Adhikari, Sinaura Mistry, Aaron Malla and Sushila Raymajhi. Ranjit Gazmer was the music director of the film.

The film starts with Hari Sir, a professor at T.U, whose teaching and philosophy is followed by the students. Bhawana is wife of Hari sir and often denoted as Guru Aama. Prabhakar is a leader who wants to become a leader at any cost. Prabhakar persuades Pratap (one of the students) to join his party. He wants Pratap to become the leader of the campus and persuade other students to follow his Adarsha Party. Prabhakar starts finding Hari sir as his obstacle to become minister. Later, Hari Sir becomes a victim of his conspiracy and gets demoted as a primary teacher in a rural village. He decides to go there with his family (Bhawana and little Akash) and start a new life. When he reaches there he witnesses a drunk man is the teacher of the school. He starts the school which has been shut for years.

The film starts with the marriage discussion of Srijana (Srijana Basnet), an amateur painter with her father (Tulsi ghimire). She hesitates to marry the only son of her father's business partner. Instead she want to learn some more painting and go to visit her paternal aunt in a remote village, where she meets Sonam (Shrawan Ghimire) and Shankar (Rajesh Hamal). A love triangle starts among the three and flows through the course of time.

The movie opens with a pregnant Mary Kom (Priyanka Chopra), heading towards the hospital with her husband Onler Kom (Darshan Kumaar). Onler is mistaken for an insurgent and beaten when he tries to find a vehicle despite a curfew. The film then shifts to a flashback with Mangte Chungeijang Kom, finding boxing gloves in the remains of an air crash in 1991, which prompted her interest in boxing despite her father's disapproval. During an early fight, she chases a boy and ends up in a boxing gym. The coach of the gym, Narjit Singh (Sunil Thapa) is the coach of the Asian Champion Dingko Singh, and Kom tells him about her boxing aspirations. He asks her to visit the gym for next thirty days and says that he will only teach her if she is deserving enough. She starts visiting the gym, telling her mother but not her father. Days pass but her father does not enquire about her. Due to Kom's dedication and stubbornness, Coach Singh starts training her, suggesting she change her name to Mary Kom.

Paramvir Singh (Sunny Deol) is a Non-resident Indian (NRI) living happily with his Canadian wife Mary (Emma Brown Garett) along with his two kids Karam and Veer and his mother (Nafisa Ali) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Years ago, after the birth of Paramvir's younger brother Gajodhar, Paramvir's father, Dharam Singh (Dharmendra) had run away from home and took Gajodhar with him, due to difficulties with the family. Back in reality, a Canadian comes to visit Paramvir at his home, where he sees Dharam Singh's photo. The Canadian recognises Dharam as a thief who had robbed him when he went to tour in Banaras. Upon hearing this news, Paramvir's mother sends him to Banaras to find his father, and younger brother.
