The concert was played at Madison Square Garden. The concert was sponsored by Coca-Cola. The concert was included in the band's tour "A Thousand Suns World Tour". There were 15,170 tickets available for the concert and 15,170 tickets were sold. Hence the profit from the concert was 100%. The concert was heavily advertised because it was the third time that the band was performing a show in New York. Before this he band had performed in the same venue with Jay-Z and alone in Webster Hall for the promotion of the band's third studio album Minutes to Midnight. The whole tour of the band had Gross Revenue of $17,486,240. This show made the tour a huge success.

The film was essentially a reproduction of the stage revue with a thin plot added. This involved a producer and performer (Ronny Graham) in financial trouble on opening night. A wealthy Texan, whose daughter is in the show, offers to help out on the condition that he finds the show to be of high-enough quality and commercial potential to warrant the investment. Meanwhile, Graham locks a bill collector in a dressing room until the show is finished and he can collect the money.

The story is set in a kingdom. The chief minister wants his daughter to marry the King's only son, the future prince. The King refused the idea, and the angry minister captures and arrests the King and runs the Kingdom. A loyal countryman Veeranna (Nagabhushanam) takes the Prince and leaves him in the forest away from the evil minister's hands, but gets captured himself. The Prince, grows up as the forest chief's adopted son Kannayya (N.T. Rama Rao). Veeranna's daughter is Nana (Anjali Devi). Both of them grows up as thieves. The old King escapes finally and stays at Nana's house. Nana steals the Princess Lalita Devi's (Devika) necklace and Kannayya returns it to her. The princess falls in love with him. Nana also falls for the Kannayya too. He gets to know his true identity, defeats his enemies and gets back his Kingdom.

In New York City in the early 1950s, Jerry Biffle (Phil Silvers) is the star of the Blendo Soap Program.
