Aidan Devine est un acteur de cinéma canadien d'origine britannique. Il est né au Royaume-Uni et a immigré avec sa famille au Canada à l'âge de 15 ans. Il a étudié au Dome Theatre du Collège Dawson à Montréal, au Québec, et a commencé sa carrière d'acteur à Montréal. Il s'installera plus tard à Toronto, en Ontario. Son premier film est une réalisation de Lewis Furey, Night Magic en 1985, sur un scénario de Furey et Leonard Cohen avec Carole Laure, Stéphane Audran et Nick Mancuso. Puis, on le retrouve en 1993 dans le film de Denys Arcand, De l'amour et des restes humains. En 2016, il joue le rôle du Général Edwards dans le film Suicide Squad avec Will Smith, Jared Leto et Ben Affleck dans le rôle du justicier masqué Batman. Aidan a travaillé de façon constante à la télévision et au cinéma, tant canadien qu'américain, remportant deux prix Gemini. le premier pour le meilleur acteur en 1995 pour son interprétation de Ted Lindsay dans le téléfilm Net Worth et le second en 1998 comme un acteur de premier plan pour son rôle de Jim Chamberlin dans The Arrow. Il fut nommé à trois reprises par la suite.

Lou Garou, an alcoholic cop in the small community of Woodhaven, spends most of his day either asleep at work or at Jessica's bar. When his friend Willie Higgins phones in a complaint of occult activity in the area of his gun store, the police chief sends Garou to investigate. After meeting with Higgins, Garou dismisses his concerns as the actions of heavy metal fans. Higgins again reports a disturbance, and the chief forces Garou to investigate. When he arrives at the scene, Garou finds occultists in the middle of a ceremony to sacrifice an upstart politician who was running on a platform of reform and anti-corruption. The peaceful and happy life of Walker and Col Kennedy is interrupted when Kim, a brilliant and attractive male architect, builds a dream house next to theirs. All the people who move into the house turn evil or end up having "accidents" and unexplainable deaths. They realize that the house targets their fears and feeds off of them until it drives them insane. In the end, the Kennedys succeed in destroying the house, killing the architect in the process. In the final scene another couple is seen eyeing a new house identical to the old one. This is the greatest departure from the novel, in which the Kennedys kill the architect before trying to destroy the house – in the epilogue it is revealed that they themselves lost their lives and the house is still intact.
