Nacho Martinez (July 8, 1952 – July 24, 1996), born "Ignacio Martinez Navia-Osorio" in Asturias, Spain, was a Spanish actor.
Born in Mieres, Asturias in 1952, he began his film career as Tasio's brother in the movie Tasio directed by Montxo Armendariz in 1984. However, the character for which he will be most remembered for is the bullfighter in the film Matador, Pedro Almodóvar, where he co-starred with a very young Antonio Banderas.
From Almodóvar he also did The Law of Desire (1987) as well as High Heels (1991).
Candidate in 1986 for Fotogramas de Plata as best actor, coincided with Angela Molina in La Mitad del Cielo, by Manuel Gutierrez Aragon, and had a small role in the cult movie Viaje a Ninguna Parte, Fernando Fernan Gomez.
Along with his film career, he had a long career as a voice actor in dubbing, film and cartoons.
He died after a long illness (suffering from lung cancer) at the very young age of 44 years, which certainly cut short the career of one of the most influential Spanish actors of the 1980s.
The year 2006 he was remembered in the twentieth edition of the Goya Awards. The International Film Festival Gijon granted a National Film Award named after Nacho Martinez, this prize was awarded in 2005 to actress Assumpta Serna, who co-starred with him in Matador.

Rebeca, a TV news broadcaster, is at Madrid's airport anxiously awaiting the return of her mother whom she has not seen since she was a child. Her mother, Becky del Páramo, a famous torch song singer, is coming back to Spain after a fifteen-year stay in Mexico. Pablo Quintero (Eusebio Poncela) is a homosexual film director whose latest work has just been released. In a party after the premiere he meets Antonio (Antonio Banderas), a beautiful young man who is obsessed with him. At the end of the evening they go home together and Antonio experiences anal sex for the first time, but while Pablo considers that happening just a lusty episode and is still in love with his long-time lover Juan, the young man misunderstands his intentions and reveals his possessive behaviour as a lover.

Diego Montes (Nacho Martínez) is a bullfighter, forced into early retirement by a goring, and in the opening scene he finds sexual gratification viewing videos of violent death. In retirement he teaches bullfighting, and among his students is Ángel, a diffident young man who suffers from vertigo. During one episode of vertigo in the practice ring, the scene cuts from Ángel to a woman killing a man during sex with a pin she was wearing in her hair, striking at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades, as a matador kills a bull. After class, Diego asks Ángel if he is homosexual, noting that he is not experienced with women. Ángel says he is not and vows to prove himself. Later that day, Ángel attempts to rape Eva (Eva Cobo), a model who is both his neighbour and Diego's girlfriend. As she is leaving him, she trips in the mud and gashes her cheek. At the sight of her blood, Ángel faints.
