Agustín Almodóvar Caballero (born 1955) is a film producer and younger brother of filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar.
He was born in Calzada de Calatrava and obtained a degree in chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He began his career in film production as a messenger in Fernando Trueba's film Sé infiel y no mires con quién.
In 1986, he and Pedro founded their own production company, El Deseo S.A. Through this company he has produced all of Pedro's films since 1986, and several French co-productions.
He is a member of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain.

C'est le frère du réalisateur Pedro Almodóvar, qui est aussi connu sous le nom de Tinin Almodóvar.

Il a commencé sa carrière dans le cinéma comme assistant de production avec un film de Fernando Trueba, Sé infiel y no mires con quién.

En 1986, avec son frère Pedro, il fonde sa propre société de production, El Deseo. Avec cette société il a produit tous les films de Pedro Almodóvar ainsi qu'un certain nombre de coproductions françaises.

Il a joué quelques rôles secondaires comme acteur dans Parle avec elle, La Loi du désir et Matador de Pedro Almodóvar

Agustín Almodóvar est membre de l'Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España.

"Harry Caine" is a blind writer who shares his life with his agent Judit and her adult son, Diego. Slowly, events in the present begin to bring back memories of the past. In Madrid in 1980, Enrique Goded, a young film director, is looking for his next project when he receives the unexpected visit of an actor looking for work. The actor claims to be Enrique's boarding school friend and first love, Ignacio Rodriguez. Ignacio, who is using now the name Ángel Andrade, has brought with him a short story titled "The Visit" hoping that Enrique would be interested in making a film out of it giving him the starring role. Enrique is intrigued since "The Visit" described their time together at the Catholic school and it also includes a fictionalized account of their reunion many years later as adults.

The film plot takes its starting point from the French play The Human Voice (La Voix humaine, 1930) by Jean Cocteau where a desperate woman tries to avoid being dumped by her lover through a series of phone calls. In the film TV actress Pepa Marcos (Carmen Maura) is depressed and taking sleeping pills because her boyfriend Iván (Fernando Guillén) has just left her. Both she and Iván work as voice-over actors who dub foreign films, notably Johnny Guitar with Joan Crawford and Sterling Hayden. The voice he uses to sweet-talk her (and many other women) is the same one he uses in his work. He is about to leave on a trip and has asked Pepa to pack his things in a suitcase that he will pick up later.

Sexilia ("Sexi") is a pop star and sex addict; Riza is the gay son of the Emperor of Tiran (a fictional Middle Eastern country). Both are strolling around Madrid's flea market, aiming to pick up lovers. Sexilia takes two men for an orgy, where she is the only woman. Pepi cultive de la marijuana sur son balcon. Un flic qui habite en face, le remarque et vient chez elle pour le lui reprocher. Son regard est concupiscent si bien qu'elle soulève sa robe et lui propose de faire l'amour en échange de son silence. Le flic accepte. Elle lui précise toutefois qu'il doit passer par "derrière", ne voulant pas perdre sa virginité, qu'elle voulait monnayer pour 60 000 ptas, comme on l'apprendra plus tard. Le policier refuse et la pénètre. Il réalise en entendant ses cris que Pepi était réellement vierge. Celle-ci décide alors de se venger de ce viol avec l'aide de Bom et son groupe de musiciens, mais aussi celle de Luci, la femme masoschiste, mais délaissée, du policier "qui la traite comme sa mère".
