Mondo Cane 2, l'incroyable Verité (Monde de chien 2, également un juron en italien) est un film documentaire italien réalisé par Gualtiero Jacopetti et Franco Prosperi, sorti en 1963.

Il s'agit de la suite logique de Mondo cane sorti en 1962.

Le film consiste en une série de petits documentaires sur les différentes pratiques culturelles à travers le monde.

La suite de Mondo cane est composée d'épisodes de la vie de l'homme et d'animaux, filmés dans le monde : Nouvelle-Guinée, Allemagne, Singapour, Portugal, Australie, Amérique et autres.
Le documentaire montre entre autres de manière violente des scènes de cannibalisme, vivisection, lynchage, croque-morts, travestis, chasse aux alligators, rites religieux, déviations sexuelles, trafic de cheveux et exploitation d'enfants handicapés.

At the beginning, there is a scene with a dog pound. At the dog pound, a dog is presumably killed by other dogs through the camera's point of view. In Macao, the dead are covered in make-up for the funeral. In Singapore there is a hotel for the dying. Cars are smashed at a junkyard of Los Angeles and reduced to cubes. In Czechoslovakia, Yves Klein makes his paintings with the help of some female models and some musicians to express his favorite color, blue. In Honolulu, tourists are showered with leis and witness the Hula Dance. In Nepal, Gurkha soldiers perform a rite of passage by dressing up in women's clothing and bulls are beheaded for ritualistic purposes. In Portugal, there is the running of the bulls and bull fights where matadors challenge the bulls. At Garoka, New Guinea, there are indigenous tribes who go to church. The film concludes with a cargo cult at Port Moresby, New Guinea.

Une nuit, Rupert Berner, un vétérinaire dans un zoo de Francfort, reçoit un appel téléphonique inquiétant de son ami Nat Braun, un inspecteur de police, qui lui informe que des rats se sont échappés des égouts pollués par du phéncyclidine et qu'ils ont ensuite attaqué un couple de jeunes gens dans leur voiture. Rupert les extermine au lance-flammes mais garde quelques spécimens pour les examiner dans son laboratoire. De retour au zoo, il découvre que toutes les cages sont ouvertes et vides. Panthères, léopards, ours, éléphants se sont évadés et envahissent actuellement la ville. Tous les animaux, comme les rats, ont été contaminés par l'eau infectée et ils sont désormais incontrôlables et violents. Alors qu'ils sèment le chaos dans la ville, Rupert et sa collègue Laura vont tenter de trouver un moyen pour les arrêter.

Candido (Christopher Brown) is a naïve young man raised by a Westphalian baron (Gianfranco D'Angelo).
