Synopsis
Hambourg, 1960. L'histoire raconte la rencontre de trois jeunes hommes très différents de la toute jeune République fédérale et la manière dont leurs destins se mêlent. Fred Plötz, directeur de la publicité, se cherche depuis une sérieuse déception en tant que coureur de jupons qui ne recherche que le moment de bonheur instable et à court terme. Quand il rencontre l'étudiante Kirsten, qui est très différente de toutes ses amies précédentes, la couche protectrice autour de lui se brise après un long moment et il recommence à tomber amoureux. Kirsten retourne ses sentiments. Un ami de Plötzens est un avocat du même âge, Jürgen Faber. Le troisième protagoniste masculin de l'histoire est Gerd Schneider, médecin en chef à l'hôpital Magdalenen. Il est un médecin non conventionnel obsédé par son métier qui veut étudier les aliments frelatés nocifs. Tous trois se frottent aux conditions sociales de l'Allemagne saturée d'après-guerre de l'époque Adenauer.Actors

The inhabitants of the British village of Midwich suddenly fall unconscious, as does anyone entering the village. The military establishes a cordon around Midwich and sends in a man wearing a gas mask, but he, too, falls unconscious and is pulled back with rope. The man awakens and reports experiencing a cold sensation just before passing out. The pilot of a military reconnaissance plane is contacted and asked to investigate. When he flies below 5,000 feet, he loses consciousness and the plane crashes. A five-mile exclusion zone around the village is established for all aircraft. The villagers regain consciousness and apparently are unaffected.
