Anna Geislerová, also known as Aňa Geislerová (born 17 April 1976, Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech actress. She became well known for her double role of Eliška/Hana in movie Želary (2003) and as Anna in Návrat idiota (1999). A former model, Geislerová made her feature film debut at age 12.

Biography

Elle commence à étudier à l'Académie tchèque des arts musicaux, mais n'a pas terminé son cursus pour se consacrer à sa carrière.

Elle a deux sœurs : Ester, qui est aussi actrice et Lela. Elle est mariée depuis 2005. Elle a un fils Bruno (né en 2004) et une fille Stella (née en juillet 2007). Son mari Zdeněk Janáček est réalisateur.

Une de ses meilleures amies est l'actrice Tatiana Vilhelmová avec laquelle elle participe à des actions caritatives.

Vers 15 ans, elle est partie à Milan où elle a tenté de devenir mannequin. Après quelques mois d'errance, elle est rentrée en République tchèque.

Tchécoslovaquie années 80, Anna, jeune et talentueuse sprinteuse sélectionnée dans l’équipe nationale, s’entraîne pour la qualification aux Jeux Olympiques. The movie starts off with Mussolini arriving in a small town in 1901 and getting a job as a school teacher; he is subsequently fired for having sex with the headmaster's daughter. This would be a common theme throughout the movie. After giving up on teaching, he works as a builder on the new University of Geneva campus building, and where a lover persuades him to become a student. This is also where he organizes his first protest after the death of a worker he knew. For this, he is nearly deported but is saved by Angelica's intervention. After getting run out of then-Austro-Hungarian Trieste, he goes back to his hometown of Forlì, where he marries Rachele. Soon he is at the forefront of the Socialist movement when he becomes the editor-in-chief of Avanti!. At this point Mussolini unites the "reds," the Socialists, with the "yellows," the Republicans in an anti-war movement. This marks the peak of his power, with the Italian left-wing politics under his control. However, he gradually loses his anti-war fervor and splits from the Socialist party altogether, turning all his allies into enemies.

Jean Berlot (Liska) is a deeply troubled man who has been haunted by violent hallucinations since the death of his mother, who was committed to a mental institution when she passed on. While arranging his mother's funeral, Jean meets a fellow inmate who claims to be the Marquis de Sade (Triska), and lives as if he's in 18th-century France rather than the Czech Republic in 2005. Jean strikes up an alliance with De Sade, though they can hardly be called friends, and after becoming an unwilling accomplice to De Sade's debauchery, Jean joins him at a hospital run by Dr. Murlloppe (Dusek), who offers "Purgative Therapy" for people who aren't mad but could be in the future. Jean falls for a beautiful nurse named Charlota (Geislerova), who claims she's being held at the hospital against her will; in time, Jean hatches a plan to liberate her and the inmates, though he learns the truth is even more disturbing than he's been led to believe.
