Cassie Stratford is a plain science nerd, whose mother was captain of the cheersquad at Ivory Coast University and president of Zeta Mu Sorority, so she's pressured to join both cheerleading and the sorority. However, Brittany Andrews, Zeta President and Cheer Captain (who has a Napoleon complex), rejects her. Cassie works in the Biology Building of the University, where she and her friend Kyle are working on a drug that turns things beautiful. So in the night, Cassie steals the drug and injects herself with it. While she does become beautiful and makes the cheersquad when one of the cheerleaders is injured, she then discovers the drug has a side effect when she starts to grow taller and taller until she is a 50-foot tall giantess. When Brittany discovers this, she tries to seduce Kyle into telling her the secret, which leads to her being injected with more of the drug than Cassie and growing bigger too. Brittany goes through the town on her way to the stadium, being careful not to hurt anyone on the way. She begins to cheer, but is confronted by Cassie. This all leads to a large cat fight during the big homecoming game. Cassie wins by injecting the antidote into Brittany, making her shrink into a dwarf. Cassie then injects herself with a smaller portion and returns to her normal size.

A small U.S. special-forces squad travels to Cambodia to follow up on the case of a small medical outpost that has ceased communications, and why the first group sent to the outpost did not report back. The squad soon finds itself confronted by flesh-eating zombies seemingly created by a strange species of scorpion. The squad clears away the zombies, but is then attacked by an infected researcher who attempts to commit suicide with a grenade. A police officer fails in chasing a drug dealer in Los Angeles, so his boss Hugh Janus transfers him to Hawaii for disciplinary reasons. On the island some former female students are just gathering in a luxury hotel. The young ladies once belonged to the sorority "Omeaga Kappa Omega" and are now invited to an erotic photo shoot which is organised by Derek Simmons, the editor of the Cavalier Magazine. Shortly after their arrival, Terri Walker, one of the former students, is strangled in the pool while her friend William Culp is absent for some minutes. Detective Newman begins to investigate the murder together with his new colleague Julie Seska and the coroner Ferguson. Next to Terri's corpse they find a document which resembles a final examination certificate and has the imprint "Failed" on it. William tells them to observe Derek Simmons very closely.

Mona Hibbard (Driver) is a young woman from a troubled home who has one overarching goal: to become the winner of the Miss American Miss pageant. Her mother is an alcoholic who graduates from berating her young daughter for not doing well in kids' pageants to declaring she will not provide any money or support for Mona if she keeps competing. Fortunately for Mona, she becomes best friends with Ruby Stilwell (Adams), who joins forces with her kind-hearted grandmother to help Mona as she begins her steady rise in the beauty pageant ranks. Unfortunately for Mona, she becomes pregnant and is horrified because women with children are not eligible for the MAM crown, and she has a young daughter (Eisenberg), but Ruby selflessly agrees to raise Vanessa as her own daughter. Mona becomes colder and meaner as she gets closer to achieving her goal, whether she's sabotaging a fellow contestant Leslie Stefanson on her routine and earning a lifelong enemy of an aspiring newscaster, or pawning all of her inconveniences onto Ruby while ignoring how obvious it is that Vanessa looks exactly like her, a path that leads to her victory in the Miss Illinois pageant. When Ruby is falsely accused of euthanasia and jailed, Mona is forced to take care of Vanessa, a task she is neither good at nor happy to do as she is afraid that her MAM crown bid will be ruined; Vanessa reacts to the situation by being angry and difficult to handle. Mona heads to the MAM showcase while her old enemy thinks she has a scoop about Vanessa's parentage, but only after being coldly rejected for a last time by her own worthless mother, which leads to her implying to Vanessa that she IS the girl's mom and can't say so in public. Mona also grows up when she desperately seeks guidance from jailed Ruby, only to have Ruby finally tell her friend that she needs to start taking care of her responsibilities. But the judges see that the crowd is 100% in her favor, and change their rules so that Mona becomes the new Miss America Miss, as her old enemy finds her "scoop" and dreams of journalistic fame are both dead. Mona finishes the film as a happy mother to her little girl, a good friend to Ruby, and someone ready to turn the page on past turmoil and start a better life to come. Kool (Silkk The Shocker) is a good kid from the inner city with ambitions of becoming a successful rap star He is a black belt in Kenpo karate and is in love with poised and college-bound LaShawna (Shireen Crutchfield). The movie starts with Kool jumping out of a two-story window running towards his red Chevrolet Corvette only to be given chase by the Los Angeles Police Department. He seems to have escaped pursuit until they tail him again and the car hightails into a river. Kool starts to narrate his story, telling the audience "I'm not surprised this road is ending, I've been on this road to nowhere for a while. My name is Kool, they say I'm a thug...I say I was made into one." as the movie flashes back 6 months earlier. Kool, C-Dawg (Snoop Dogg), Pee Wee (Anthony Johnson), and Remo (C-Murder) are all seen playing a card game at a neighborhood barbecue. Kool impresses his friends at the table by free-styling while playing cards. The movie then introduces LaShawna and Mrs. Ferrel (Pamella D'Pella) as LaShawna asks has Kool gotten to the barbecue. Mrs. Ferrel shuns him off not liking the company he keeps around him. LaShawna gets dressed and she goes out to the barbecue, Kool and LaShawna tries to persuade Mrs. Ferrel to let LaShawna go to Las Vegas to which Mrs. Ferrel declines. She tells Kool to take her daughter to the museum since she said Kool was an "artist." The movie then skips ahead to Kool sparring with other students in a Kenpo-karate class which introduces Master Keaton (Jeff Speakman) as his mentor. Kool has made his transition from a brown belt to a black belt. The movie then skips to the next day and introduces Tyrel (Mystikal) and he is arguing with C-Dawg about Mike Tyson biting Holyfield's ear off in the boxing match. Kool changes the subject and turns on a song that he wrote in which his friends do not give him credit. LaShawna comes by later they go over to Kool's house, LaShawna remembers his birthday and had a cake baked for him.
