Jaume Collet-Serra ([ˈʒawmə kuˈʎɛt ˈsɛrə]) (born 23 March 1974) is a Spanish film director and producer. He is most famous for the 2005 remake House of Wax, and the 2009 film Orphan. In 2011 he directed the drama-thriller Unknown.
En 2009, il retrouve Joel Silver et sa société Dark Castle Entertainment, pour un nouveau film d'horreur : Esther. En 2011, il dirige Liam Neeson dans le thriller Sans Identité, d'après le roman français Hors de moi de Didier van Cauwelaert. Après une petite parenthèse télévisée, il retrouve Liam Neeson pour un autre thriller, Non-Stop. Il retrouvera ensuite l'acteur pour une 3e collaboration : Run All Night.
Le 31 juillet 2017, Walt Disney Pictures engage Jaume Collet-Serra pour diriger le film Jungle Cruise, adapté de l'attraction du même nom, avec Dwayne Johnson.

En 2005, le producteur Joel Silver l'engage pour réaliser le film d'horreur La Maison de cire, remake de L'Homme au masque de cire sorti en 1953. Malgré des critiques assez négatives, le film est un succès financier. Deux ans plus tard, il dirige la suite de Goal!, Goal 2 : La Consécration.En 2009, il retrouve Joel Silver et sa société Dark Castle Entertainment, pour un nouveau film d'horreur : Esther. An alcoholic air marshal named Bill Marks boards a Boeing 767 non-stop flight from New York City to London. He sits next to passenger Jen Summers with whom he engages in friendly conversations. After take-off, he receives a text message on his secure phone stating that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred to a specific bank account. Marks breaks protocol and consults with Jack Hammond, the other air marshal, who concludes that the threat is not valid. Marks however consults the help of Summers and flight attendant Nancy to monitor the security cameras while texting the mysterious person in order to locate him. However, Hammond is texted by the unknown person who says that he knows what is in Hammond's briefcase. As Marks confronts Hammond in the rear lavatory, the latter is revealed to be smuggling cocaine in a brief-case. Hammond attacks Marks, who responds in self-defense and breaks Hammond's neck. This incident happens exactly at the 20-minute mark.

Kate and John Coleman (Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard) are experiencing strains in their marriage after their third child was stillborn.
