Jennifer Yuh Nelson, also known as Jennifer Yuh (born May 7, 1972), is a Korean-born American director and storyboard artist. She is best known for directing the film Kung Fu Panda 2 (first directing). Yuh is the first woman to solely direct an animated feature from a major Hollywood studio, and this film also proved to be the most financially successful one for a film directed by a woman. She won an Annie Award for Best Storyboarding in an Animated Feature Production for directing the opening for Kung Fu Panda. She was the first woman nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for her work on Kung Fu Panda 2. After the success of Kung Fu Panda 2, Yuh is now returning to direct Kung Fu Panda 3, which will be released in 2015.

Dans un futur proche, la plupart des enfants ont été décimés par un virus inconnu. Po reunites with his biological father and travels with him to a secret sanctuary of pandas where, to his surprise, he does not fit in. There he meets Mei Mei, an overly eager panda, who had been promised to Po through an arranged marriage when they were children. An opening prologue set years before the events of the first film tells that Lord Shen, the scion of a peacock clan that rules Gongmen City in ancient China, seeks to harness fireworks as a weapon. After discovering from the court's goat Soothsayer that "a warrior of black-and-white" will defeat him if he does not change his ways, Shen leads an army of wolves to exterminate the panda population to avert the prophecy. Shen's parents are horrified at this atrocity and exile their son, who swears revenge.

The story is set in the Valley of Peace, a fictional land in ancient China inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Po, a giant panda, is a kung fu fanatic who idolizes the Furious Five — Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper, and Crane — a quintet of kung fu masters trained by the red panda Master Shifu. Sinbad and his pirate crew attempt to steal the magical "Book of Peace" while it travels to Syracuse, Sicily, protected by Proteus. Proteus was once Sinbad's best friend as a child and he tells him if it ever meant anything he can prove it. Sinbad tries to steal the book anyway, but is prevented when Cetus attacks the ship. The two work together to fight off Cetus and for a moment reaffirm their bond. Just when it seems the beast is defeated, Sinbad is dragged off the ship. Proteus goes to save Sinbad, but he is stopped by his crew.

April Saunders est professeur d'université, spécialisée dans la météorologie.
