Jerry Calà (born 28 June 1951) is an Italian comedian and filmmaker who has written, directed, and acted in multiple film and television projects.
En 1981 Calà quitte le groupe pour entreprendre la carrière d'acteur et interprète des films comiques en collaborant avec de nombreux réalisateurs dont Carlo Vanzina.
En 1993, il joue dans le film dramatique Diaro di un vizio réalisé par Marco Ferreri et remporte le Prix de la critique italienne au Festival international du film de Berlin. En 1994, il réalise Chicken Park, une parodie de Jurassic Park de Steven Spielberg.
Depuis les années 2000 il se consacre principalement à l'activité de chanteur et comédien, réalisant encore quelques films. En 2016 il publie Una vita da libidine, un livre autobiographique.

Jerry Calà est né à Catane. Enfant il déménage à Milan, puis à Vérone. C'est dans cette ville qu'il fonde avec Franco Oppini, Ninì Salerno et Umberto Smaila le groupe de comédie « I Gatti di Vicolo Miracoli » (également connu sous le nom « Cats ») .En 1981 Calà quitte le groupe pour entreprendre la carrière d'acteur et interprète des films comiques en collaborant avec de nombreux réalisateurs dont Carlo Vanzina.

In Christmas of 1983 two families collide in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The first is very rich, elegant, refined taste and character and comes from Milan, consisting of Christian De Sica and Riccardo Garrone, while the second is made up of people extremely vulgar and rough to Rome contains the funny characters Claudio Amendola, Marilù Tolo and Mario Brega. The stories and adventures of the members of the two families intersect and give rise to hilarious misunderstandings, while a penniless pianist (Jerry Calà) fall in love again with his ex-girlfriend (Stefania Sandrelli). Roberto Covelli (De Sica) has an American girlfriend but worthy of much attention and persistently courted by Mario Marchetti (Amendola) which was initially became involved in a meeting with the girlfriend of a friend of his. The contact between the two families will be done through the acquaintance of Mario with a member of Covelli which, when seen in front of the rude common people of Rome are upset. After many adventures finished good and evil Samantha's girlfriend, Roberto, will notice the sad courting the mild Mario and give him what he wishes for one night before leaving for ever's America. Meanwhile, the Covelli Family with astonishment and regret discovers that his young son Roberto is gay. One year after the holiday, families reunite in Sardinia during the summer and will create a new whirlwind of hilarious situations.

Bud Graziano said "Bomber" is a former heavyweight boxing champion who retired to private life on a ship. Jerry Calà is instead a Lombard punter who finds himself always in trouble and one day gets really big. In fact, he unwittingly sets himself against a group of thugs who answer only to the orders of a new boxing champion who is making the rounds in the area with his victories. Even Bomber collides later with this sample name Rosco. So Bomber, suddenly awakened his passion for boxing, opening a gym for amateurs and begins to train the promising young George. Below Bomber organizes meetings which also participates Rosco which, being too strong, knocks the young George. After so many other battles, Bomber is on the verge of losing everything he has slowly and painstakingly put together and so decides to confront himself in combat Rosco.
