Grâce à l'aide de son père, il réussit à faire ses premiers pas au cinéma avec des maîtres comme Roberto Rossellini (Blaise Pascal, 1971) ou avec son père (Una breve vacanza, 1973).
Après Night Club, dernier film de Sergio Corbucci, et le mythique Sapore di Mare au côté de Virna Lisi, Christian De Sica devient un des acteurs les plus connus du Cinema Panettone, film comique dont l'intrigue suis la trame des vaudevilles, souvent en duo avec Massimo Boldi ; parmi ces films : Vacanze di Natale (1983), A spasso nel tempo 1 et 2, Paparazzi (1998), Tifosi (1999), SPQR et Christmas in Love (2004), Natale in Crociera (2007) ou encore Vacanze ai Caraibi (2015).

Luciano Baietti (Christian De Sica) is a man who has always taken advantage of the weakness of character of his wife Fiamma (Laura Morante) and his two sons Paul and Baldo. In fact, he, getting with deception, cheating, fraud and tax evasion for hotels and restaurant chains and small corporations, which now has abandoned his wife and children after marriage, psychologically destroying Fiamma and Baldo. Paul is the only one who has overcome the trauma, harboring a deep hatred of true parent and repeatedly threatened with death. After about twenty years of marriage, Luciano finds himself in trouble for all the tricks he did with his secretaries and Sticker Pillar who trust him blindly, and now must find a way out. Will find it in his youngest son Baldo which although has which 20 years is still a big kid dominated by the mother, who tries to rebuild his life creandosi a poor musical group of which he is the singer together with an old friend, but also his brother who treated as a mental patient. So Baldo, believing that review after so many years, the beloved father was invited to his villa why are headed all the properties and buildings that his father bought the scam. However, Luciano, who hopes to be saved from disaster by a second marriage is discovered, the wedding go awry, and he was arrested by the police. Baldo increasingly confused and desperate to return home to his family, and soon also joins Luciano, now reduced to a pauper after release from prison.

Fabrizio Barbetti (Christian De Sica) and Lisa Pinzoni (Sabrina Ferilli) are two remarried doctors who, since divorce, have been simply unable to get along with each other. The Roman lawyer Fabio Ciulla goes on holiday to Egypt. He is pursuing his wife, whom he has repeatedly betrayed, in an attempt to persuade her to forgive him. In the north of Italy in the town of Busto Arsizio, the clumsy and foolish Lorenzo leaves with his daughter Marta for the Christmas holiday for the city of Aspen, in Colorado. In Rome, the vulgar and womanizer Remo Proietti decides to recover unnecessarily loving relationship with his young wife Kelly, and so the two depart for America, while Remo's friends bettors and gamblers alike depart for America, but for Las Vegas. The story of Remo and Lorenzo starts just as Marta, in full adolescent phase, meets the famous Luke Perry and falls in love. In Aspen, Remo also discovers that his old friend Paolone, bettor and also usurer, is spending her Christmas holidays. When Remo loses a game of cards with him, threatening him Paolone legally, Remo is forced to sign a contract stating that his rival will have a sexual relationship with his wife. But Remo turns out that Kelly has a twin sister, valley of a club in the red light: Michelle.
