Synopsis
Vincent Floyd, a seeming lazy figure lounging around London Gentlemen's Clubs is in fact a secret agent hot on the trail of Michael Marlowe whom he suspects of smuggling drugs into Britain from France on a regular basis. Floyd has so far struggled to gain evidence on Marlowe, but through a series of incidents finds himself bound for Paris on the same plane as Marlowe. Marlowe succeeds in doping Floyd and taking him to his underground hideout beneath a Parisian back-alley nightclub.Actors

Le ménage du professeur Jozef Stock et de sa femme Mizzie bat de l'aile. Stock souffre du peu d'attention de son épouse pour lui. Celle-ci, de son côté, entreprend de séduire le docteur Franz Braun, mari d'une amie de jeunesse, Charlotte. Franz et Charlotte forment un couple aimant mais ce dernier se défend mal des avances de Mizzie. Sa courtoisie et sa maladresse l'entraînent dans des situations compromettantes. Son collègue Gustav s'en aperçoit et cherche à tirer profit de la situation pour se rapprocher de Charlotte, à qui il ne cache pas son admiration. Quant au professeur Stock, il se réjouit de la possible infidélité de Mizzie qui pourrait lui donner un motif de divorce. Il s'empresse d'ailleurs d'engager un détective pour recueillir les preuves d'une liaison. Charlotte, enfin, ne se doute de rien mais s'étonne toutefois de l'intérêt que son mari semble accorder à une autre femme, Pauline Hofer, et demande à Mizzie de le surveiller. Les mensonges et chantages de Mizzie, les imprudences de Franz, et plusieurs quiproquos font craindre une rupture du couple jusque-là uni.

After many years in exile, Don Juan returns to Seville in secret. His wife has threatened to have him thrown in prison. Next morning he is surprised to find that all the town knows he is back (not surprising really as he had a big sword fight on arrival). Rodrigo, an admirer of his, follows Don Juan everywhere, wanting to be just like him, and able to give a good impression of him. Don Juan prepares to flee to France but Rodrigo is killed by a jealous husband who believes he is Don Juan and all Seville now believes him dead. He attends his own magnificent funeral, but finds many discomforts now while pretending that Don Juan is dead, before finally sorting things out.

A couple, Fred (Henry Kendall) and Emily Hill (Joan Barry), living a mundane middle class life in London, receive a telegram informing them that an uncle will give them, as an advance against their future inheritance, as much money as they need to enjoy themselves in the present. In the early years of the Second World War, aeronautical engineer Barnes Wallis is struggling to develop a means of attacking Germany's dams in the hope of crippling German heavy industry. Working for the Ministry of Aircraft Production, as well as doing his own job at Vickers, he works feverishly to make practical his theory of a bouncing bomb which would skip over the water to avoid protective torpedo nets. When it came into contact with the dam, it would sink before exploding, making it much more destructive. Wallis calculates that the aircraft will have to fly extremely low (150 feet (46 m)) to enable the bombs to skip over the water correctly, but when he takes his conclusions to the Ministry, he is told that lack of production capacity means they cannot go ahead with his proposals.

In the spring of 1918, a German U-boat stops a Dutch freighter on its way to Stockholm, Sweden during the final year of World War I. The Germans board the ship, identify one man as a Belgian spy, and take him prisoner. One of the passengers questioned is an attractive Swiss dress shop owner named Madeleine Goddard (Vivien Leigh) who is returning to Stockholm from a business trip to Paris, where she purchased dresses for her boutique. After returning to Stockholm, Madeleine, who is a German spy, meets with her contacts and provides information on Allied troop movements she acquired in Paris. The information is cleverly concealed in the gowns she purchased. While the Germans believe that she is one of their top spies, Madeleine is in fact a French double agent working to uncover the identity of the new German secret service leader in Stockholm.
