In the Atlantic Ocean, the USS California submarine picks up incoming human-like threats approaching the sub by sonar. The sub is attacked, leaving the entire crew dead by the invading hostiles. At S.T.A.R. Labs' Justice League headquarters, Cyborg is given news by Colonel Steve Trevor over the sunken sub. Cyborg decides to check it himself, deciding against Trevor's idea of calling the other superheroes, as he puts it "there is no Justice League".

On a tropical island in the Pacific, a lonely volcano named Uku watches the wildlife creatures frolic with their mates and hopes to find one of his own. He sings a song to the ocean each day for thousands of years, gradually venting his lava and sinking into the water, but does not realize that an undersea volcano named Lele has heard him every day and has fallen in love with him. She emerges on the day that Uku becomes extinct, but her face is turned away and she cannot see him. Uku sinks fully into the ocean, heartbroken, but revives when he hears Lele singing his song to him. His fires re-ignited, he erupts back to the surface, this time right next to Lele, and the two form a single island where they can be happy together.

Trade Tattoo est allé encore plus loin que Rainbow Dance dans sa manipulation du processus Gasparcolor. Le métrage original en noir et blanc était constitué d'extraits de documentaires de la GPO Film Unit tels que Night Mail. Lye a transformé ces séquences dans ce qui a été décrit comme le travail le plus complexe de tirage de film et d'étalonnage jamais réalisé. Des mots et des motifs animés se combinent aux séquences en direct pour créer des images aussi complexes et multicouches qu'une peinture cubiste. La musique était assurée par le groupe cubain Lecuona. Avec ses rythmes dynamiques, le film cherche (selon les mots de Lye) à transmettre "un romantisme sur le travail de tous les jours dans tous les domaines de la vie".

Kamila, a widowed mother, works as the housekeeper for Mustafa, a foreign poet, painter, and political activist being held under house arrest. Mustafa is guarded by the soldier Halim, who has a secret crush on Kamila. Kamila's daughter, Almitra, has stopped talking due to her father's death, and has become a troublemaker who frequently steals from local merchants. Almitra has seagulls for her only friends; she even seems able to talk to them by making birdlike noises. Halim's pompous Sergeant arrives to tell Mustafa that he is now free, but he must board a ship to his home country by day's end. The Sergeant escorts Mustafa to the ship, and Mustafa spends the time conversing with Kamila, Almitra and Halim, as well as with the townspeople, who regard him as a hero. Mustafa's conversations, ranging in topics from freedom to marriage to parenthood to eating, are animated by the movie's many directors in their own unique styles.

The film starts in a sequence with Timmy Turner (Drake Bell) running through a jungle from masked natives, as he attempts to find Cosmo, Wanda and Poof. Timmy finds that Crocker has tied the three fairies up and is suspending them over a pit of lava. Tootie (Daniella Monet) arrives to save the fairies. Just as Timmy and Tootie are about to share a kiss, Timmy awakens to Jorgen's yelling, and the rescue scene is revealed to have been a daydream. Timmy is now working at a yuck factory due to Jorgen and the fairies agreeing that he should work for a living, which Timmy is not happy about. He says he only took the job to impress Tootie, who is working at the Helping Creatures Dimmsdale Research Center. Timmy then complains about being grown up and that he misses Dimmsdale. We then see Crocker at Dimmsdale calling his mother, who is making him go on vacation in the hope that it will help him with his obsession with fairies. Two children named Marty and Mitzy are seen in a limo excited about going to Hawaii; however, the parents then announce that they are not going with them and have instead hired a babysitter, who is revealed to be Vicky, much to their chagrin. Just as Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda and Poof stop by at Dimmsdale spying on them from a stack of tires their nemesis anti-fairy Foop spies on them and seeks to destroy them. Timmy then arrives at the Helping Creatures Dimmsdale Research Center to visit Tootie, who looks at rare spotted dolphins who are suffering a disease whose cure is conveniently located in Hawaii. Tootie is then chosen to go to their to deliver a special gas to cure the dolphins, much to Timmy's disappointment. Timmy then arrives at the Turners' house to visit his parents when Mr. Turner announces he is getting a promotion from a pencil company he works for, and is also going to Hawaii. Back in Fairy World Timmy is ready for another boring day at work; Jorgen announces he is going to Hawaii as well, and Timmy becomes depressed that everyone will be having fun except him. Sitting down to eat the lunch his father packed for him, he finds that his father accidentally packed the check from his boss. He then uses his lip balm, only to find Tootie's gas for the dolphins by mistake. So Timmy, along with Cosmo, Wanda, Poof, and secretly Foop (hanging on to the back of the Wishful Thinking van) travel to Hawaii to deliver Tootie her dolphin gas supplement and to bring Timmy's dad his check.

The short shows a total of 14 dragons, each spread into 7 classes: Stoker (Terrible Terror, Monstrous Nightmare), Boulder (Gronckle, Whispering Death), Fear (Hideous Zippleback, Snaptrapper), Sharp (Deadly Nadder, Timberjack), Tidal (Scauldron, Thunderdrum), Mystery (Changewing, Boneknapper) and Strike (Skrill, Night Fury). But there are new dragons that are not in the book that are shown in the cartoon series.

Though his mailbox is empty, he tries sarcastically to thank Violet for the card she "sent" him, though Violet takes his sarcasm literally. Eventually, Charlie Brown visits Lucy in her psychiatric booth. Deciding that he needs more involvement, she asks him to direct a Christmas play. On his way to the auditorium, he finds his dog Snoopy decorating his doghouse for a neighborhood lights and display contest. En route to the rehearsals, he runs into his sister Sally, who asks him to write her letter to Santa Claus. When she tells him to put in a request for money ("tens and twenties"), Charlie Brown becomes even more dismayed.
