Deran Sarafian (born January 17, 1958) is an American actor, film and television director. He is ethnically Armenian.
Sarafian has directed several episodes of the FOX series House and was made a co-executive producer of the series for the 2007 and 2008 season. He has also directed installments of: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Cold Case, The District, Without a Trace, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nash Bridges, Fringe, The Cape and Nikita.
Sarafian is the son of film director Richard C. Sarafian and the brother of Tedi Sarafian, Richard Sarafian, Jr. and Damon B. Sarafian. Sarafian is also the nephew of director Robert Altman.
Sarafian is married to actress Laurie Fortier, with whom he has two children.

A group of five teenagers, three girls and two boys get lost in the ocean with a Dinghy and a big storm begins. Suddenly they spot a yacht sitting in the middle of the ocean and they go to investigate and to find shelter. But in fact the yacht was a secret laboratory studying mutated fish results of radioactive plankton. One of the specimens escaped killed the whole crew and preys on the unsuspecting teenagers.

A group of scientists are working on a serum called Death One, which reanimates the dead. When Dr. Alan Holder (Robert Marius) and his assistant Norma experiment on a human corpse, the corpse becomes a zombie, prompting Dr. Holder to resign from the project. As he prepares to surrender the serum to waiting military officers, a small group of criminals ambush the center; all but one are killed, and the surviving criminal manages to abscond with Death One. During a chase, the container with the serum is shot out of his hand and breaks; as he tries to pick it back up, he accidentally touches the serum. He flees to the Sweet River Resort and settles in Room 4. General Morton (Mike Monty) promises Dr. Holder that he and his men will capture the criminal. By the time they catch up to him, however, he has already succumbed to the disease, but not before infecting a bellhop and killing a maid before finally cutting off his own hand in a failed attempt to stop the spread of the infection. General Morton orders the patrons and staff killed and buried in a mass grave, and condemns the resort; the criminal's remains are delivered to him and his right-hand men, Tracey (Bruno Mattei) and Cheney (Claudio Fragasso), and burned. As Dr. Holder and Norma fear, the ashes quickly infect the air, killing an entire flock of birds passing by.

10 To Midnight is a drama that mixes elements of police and slasher films. It portrays the homicidal behavior of Warren Stacy (Gene Davis), a young office equipment repairman who kills women after they reject his sexual advances. And his attempts at flirting are always seen as "creepy" by women, resulting in frequent rejections. His first victim seen in the film is Betty, an office worker of his acquaintance. He tracks her down to wooded area, and observes her having sex with her boyfriend. He ambushes the couple, kills the boyfriend, and then gives chase to the naked woman. He soon stabs her to death.

Ellen Carson (Yasmine Bleeth) is a real estate agent who inadvertently cuts off a delivery truck driver while changing lanes on the freeway to hurry home. The truck driver turns out to be a disturbed man named Eddie Madden (Jere Burns), who proceeds to chase after Ellen in an effort to run her off the road. Ellen in fear calls the 1-800 number on the back of his truck and lodges a complaint, which causes Eddie to lose his job, and he (being a grieving husband and father who earlier lost his family to a car accident) sets out to destroy Ellen's family and soon becomes fixated on Ellen and her teenage stepdaughter Cynthia (Alana Austin) and plots to have them as replacement family, by removing the head of the house, Ellen's husband and Cynthia's father Jim Carson (John Wesley Shipp).

The movie follows the story of Jack Lerolland (Lambert) and his friends and family going for a short country trip. Along the way they are harassed by gangs of murders, led by maniac Cliff (Sheffer). When Cliff kills Jack's brother in a car crash, this is the start of the chain of events which will terrorize the group. Jack is supposedly killed next and the other members of his group are taken to the gangs hideout, with the female members of the group being molested. Meanwhile, Jack is revived and is able to travel to a police station. There he is tricked into a cell and is told to wait there, while the on-duty officer goes to check out the hideout. There, Jack meets Cliff's brother. A police officer later arrives at the hideout and is shot dead by a surprised Cliff. After this incident, Cliff becomes suspicious of some of his gang members and kills one of them. At the station, Jack and Cliff's brother breakout and are about. Jack is again tricked, this time by Cliff's brother, into waiting at the station, while he takes away the police car. Jack subsequently takes another car and reaches the hideout and frees his friends and family.
