Synopsis
Robert Perkins est un homme d'affaires respecté qui dirige une société d'import-export à Hong Kong. Personne ne sait qu'il travaille comme passeur de drogue. Lorsque Perkins apprend que la cargaison d'héroïne vaut un million de dollars, il trahit son patron. Il agresse Laurent qui doit assurer la réception. Il dépose la drogue chez sa sœur Margaret. Susan Collins, la secrétaire et ancienne compagne de Perkins, sait peu de choses sur les véritables activités de l'entreprise et de sa jeune agent commerciale Claudia Laudon. Elle se trouve dans la difficulté lorsque la police découvre la drogue. Le colonel Strong, un ami de son père, lui apporte son soutien.Actors

Franco Arnò (Karl Malden) a middle-aged blind man is walking down a street at night with his niece Lori (Cinzia De Carolis) when they pass by a man in a car. Franco overhears him mention blackmail. They walk back to Franco's apartment nearby and while Lori sleeps, Franco works on a puzzle when he hears a noise. Outside, the unseen man in the parked car gets out and knocks out a night watchman by the gate of a large medical complex, the Terzi Institute. The unseen man uses a screwdriver to get inside the building. A doctor preparing to leave for the night sees the night watchman unconscious and sees a dark figure running away.

It is just before dawn in Seattle. A man dons dark glasses and gloves and loads a 9mm silenced automatic handgun. He drives into town, where he shoots a policeman (Officer Philip Forsell; in the film the character is identified only as Hyatt) on his beat, then drives to a police impound yard and shoots the officer on duty (dialogue identifies him as Wally Johnson). At a luncheonette, as he washes his hands, he momentarily flashes a police badge belonging to Detective Sgt. Stan Boyle (William Bryant). When a car pulls up, Boyle goes outside and gives the driver a satchel containing the 9mm and proceeds to his own car – but is shot in the back by the unseen driver.

Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) is an agent working linewatch for the United States Border Patrol on the U.S. Mexico Border in New Mexico. He is well-respected by his peers at US Border Patrol and loved by his wife Angela (Sharon Leal) and 5-year-old daughter Emily (Deja Warrior). Nino Brown and his gang, the Cash Money Brothers, become the dominant drug ring in New York City once crack cocaine is introduced to the streets during the late 1980s. A woman in a parking garage has trouble starting her car. Three thugs appear, force her out, and begin to rape her when Paul Kersey appears out of nowhere.
