Synopsis
Deux amis, Greg et Jonas, travaillent sur un projet scénario dans la maison de campagne du grand-père de Jonas. Greg attend de retrouver prochainement sa petite amie Violette, en voyage au Brésil. Il en est très amoureux, pensée obsédante qui influe sur son écriture. Agacé par leur difficulté à écrire, Jonas décide d'inviter deux copines pour le week-end, dont Johanna, amie d'amie qui va se révéler très présente, intrigant et fascinant les amis.Actors

Following the events of the previous film, The Muppets find themselves at a loss as to what to do until Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) suggests that the Muppets go on a European tour with him as their tour manager. In 1980, on the night he fails to win an Emmy Award, Matt Hobbs proposes to his longtime girlfriend Beth. He says the only thing holding him back is his dedication to his career, one which may not always work out, and Beth says that's one of the things she loves most about him. Little more than a year later, with a baby crying and no job for Matt, Beth is overflowing with resentment. By 1993, the pair have been divorced for several years and are living on opposite coasts. Matt auditions for a role in pompous, self-absorbed, and clueless film producer Burke Adler's new project but fails to get the part. He does however agree to chauffeur Adler occasionally. Matt flies to Georgia to pick up his daughter Jeannie for what he believes is a brief visit and discovers Beth is facing a prison term and Jeannie will be living with him for the duration of her sentence. The two return to Hollywood and struggle with their new circumstances and building a relationship (Matt hasn't seen the six-year-old since she was four). When Matt goes in to make a screen test for a lead in a film, he leaves Jeannie with a friend at the studio, and when he picks her up he's stunned to learn she's been cast in a sitcom. There are multiple sub-plots, including one focusing on Matt's relationship with staff script-reader Cathy Breslow and another concerning test screening analyst Nan Mulhanney and her tumultuous relationship with Adler. While a large part of the film is a satire of the film industry, it also skewers relationships from various angles.

Young Peggy Pepper (Marion Davies) wants to be in motion pictures, so her father (Dell Henderson) drives her across the country from their home in Georgia to Hollywood. After some initial disillusionment, she meets Billy Boone (William Haines) in a studio commissary; he tells her to show up at his set if she wants work. Peggy goes, gets sprayed with seltzer water at her first entrance, and is at first shocked and dismayed to find she is doing slapstick comedy in low-budget "Comet" productions, but she decides to "take it on the chin" and, with Billy's loving support, becomes a success.

Two screenwriters, Law and Benson (James Cagney and Pat O'Brien), are in need of a story for cowboy star Larry Toms (Dick Foran). When studio waitress Susie Seabrook (Marie Wilson) faints in the office of producer C.F. À la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Eva Berger a fui les territoires à l'est de l'Allemagne pour l'ouest. Elle travaille maintenant comme figurante au cinéma. Le réalisateur Frank Tornau la remarque et lui fait passer des essais. Eva raconte alors l'histoire de sa vie. Tornau trouve là la matière pour un film. Son auteur Paul écrit un scénario et pense que Mona Arendt sera la vedette du film. Tornau souhaite qu'Eva reprenne son propre rôle. Stefan, l'époux d'Eva, s'oppose à la réalisation de ce film. De plus, il se rend compte de l'histoire d'amour qui naît entre Eva et Tornau. Le tournage s'avère une torture pour Eva qui revit son passé. Au cours de la dernière scène, alors qu'elle s'est séparée de son mari blessé, elle fait une dépression nerveuse. Cependant elle se rapproche de Stefan avec lequel elle se réconcilie.
