Mayuri Kango, also known as Mayoori Kango, is an Indian actress from Aurangabad, India. She has acted in a number of films, primarily Bollywood.

Biography

Mayuri completed her schooling from Saint francies De Sale Aurangabad and has also been student of deogiri college Aurangabad. Her mother is a noted stage actress, which sparked her interest in acting.

Kango married an NRI named Aditya Dhillon on December 28, 2003, in Aurangabad.

She later moved to New York with her husband and got an MBA in marketing and finance from City University of New York-Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business. At present she is working as the Chief Analog to Digital Conversion Officer at Zenith Optimedia, Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

Raj Khanna (Rishi Kapoor) is a wealthy businessman who lives with his wife Archana (Rati Agnihotri), stepsister Devyani (Mita Vasisht), her spouse, and her son Teddy, in a mansion. Raj and Archana's lives are marred by marital discord, until they separate. Shortly before separating, Archana gives birth to identical twins: one of these is taken by Devyani and handed to Raj without Archana's knowledge. This infant becomes an embittered young woman sentimentially named Sweety (Kajol), and Raj becomes a helpless alcoholic. Archana has moved to London with the other daughter, Tina (Kajol). In contrast to Sweety's ferocity, Tina is meek, compassionate, sympathetic, and demure. Badal (Bobby Deol) is a young man with a tragic childhood. The film is set between June and December 1992, the days preceding the infamous demolition of the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya in the Indian province of Uttar Pradesh by Hindu fanatics. Relationship between Naseem, a 15-year-old schoolgirl belonging to a middle class Bombay based Muslim family and his ailing grandfather takes the story forward as the family watches with increasing horror on their TV the news of the growing tension between Muslims and Hindus. The grandfather keeps regaling her with stories of life marked by communal harmony in the pre-independence city of Agra. As communal tension erupts in the city of Bombay, Naseem notices changing dynamics at her school and in the neighborhood, while her grandfather watches helplessly at a city getting deeply divided on communal lines. The old man dies on December 6 coinciding with the news of the destruction of the mosque.

Vicky Kapoor (Amitabh Bachchan), the only son of multi-millionaire industrialist, Amarnath (Pran), grows up to be an alcoholic, a spoilt brat but with a good heart. Amarnath has detached himself completely from Vicky's life and provides him money in lieu of affection and care, leaving this to be taken care of by Munshi Phoolchand (Om Prakash). Vicky is very resentful of being ignored by his dad in this unceremonious manner and leaves no stone unturned to mock and belittle him at every available opportunity. Amarnath hopes to get his son married, but Vicky loves Meena (Jaya Prada), the daughter of a poor blind man, which is not acceptable to Amarnath. One day, Amarnath decides he has had enough and decides to turn Vicky out of his house. He has him sign waivers and asks him to get out, which Vicky happily does.
