Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker), a low-level mafioso for the Mafia member Tommy "Tombs" Perello (Johnny Messner), is present during a drug deal gone wrong. A trio of corrupt cops led by Rydell (Chazz Palminteri), storm in to steal the drugs, money and kill everyone else, but a shootout ensues, resulting in the deaths of two officers. Genetic engineering on trees was conducted at a research facility on the Moon to produce trees capable of growing in harsh, arid conditions. Grant is an accountant with a bad marriage and a beloved daughter. He takes to the road to service his accounts in Las Vegas. While there he meets seductive Marissa. Stuart and his family (and Monty who stows away in the car) are going camping. When they get there, Stuart meets a smooth-talking skunk named Reeko who is forced to give food to "The Beast". Stuart and George join the "Lake Scouts" which Stuart has trouble in. But Reeko makes a deal with The Beast, resulting in Snowbell getting captured by him and Stuart goes off on an adventure to save him. Eventually, Stuart and his friends attempt trick the Beast into falling into a trap covered with sticks and leaves which doesn't work. Reeko shows up with a group of forest animals. Reeko taunts the Beast and the Beast roars at him. Reeko turns around, yells a battle cry, and sprays the Beast with all of his might. The Beast is taken away to a zoo and Stuart earns a gold kerchief at last. Reeko tells Stuart that he (Reeko) was wrong to betray him. Stuart bids farewell to his friends as he, George, Eleanor, Frederick, Snowbell, and Monty head back home and live happily ever after.

Minkey, a super-spy primate, rescues his partner Mike Muggins (Chris Potter) from Middle Eastern terrorists. Mike tells her how proud he is, and reminds her that Minkey is in town, now the star of a circus show. Mike offers to take Amelia to Minkey's show, but Amelia laughs it off, remembering those "silly stories" he used to tell her about life as a spy.

The movie starts with Nicole Lauker saying good-bye to her husband as he and his friend leave to go fishing for three days. As the night comes, the door-bell rings and Nicole answers. It is the police. They say that the boat has been crashed by a bomb and Evan (her husband) is dead. They believe the death was contrived and suspect that Evan was possibly dealing with illegal substances, drugs. Nicole is devastated and refuses to believe that her husband has any connection with drugs. That night she gets a call from somebody that was going to go with Evan on the trip but was delayed. He tells her to find "the money" or the men Evan betrayed will kill her, too. As she is searching for the money, she finds an envelope to an address in Detroit. To throw the FBI of her trail, Nicole goes to her friend's house and convinces her to dress like her, leave and drive Nicole's car to DC so the suspicious FBI will follow her friend while Nicole goes to find the man at the address. Nicole is shocked to learn that the man at the address died recently in a fire. The wife, a stripper named Zoe, invites Nicole in. They share stories and pictures and soon discover that Evan was married to them both. Zoe has an exact replica of a bird statue that Evan gave Nicole for an anniversary and that is the clue they need to find Evan. Nicole and Zoe seek help from Zoe's bounty hunter friend Mac. Together, they go to the art museum where Evan purchased the statues and learn that Evan is alive, living under another name and address. They go to his house to confront him; Nicole goes in alone. Evan tells Nicole that he is actually an undercover agent for the State Department. He justifies his bigamy and two faked deaths as necessary to pull off a $5 million deal with criminals, as ordered by his handler. Suspicious, Nicole demands to participate in the platinum for cash exchange. Evan reluctantly agrees. Apparently impressed by her resourcefulness and still professing his love for Nicole, Evan asks Nicole to run away with him to the Caribbean. Nicole tells Zoe and Mac that her future is with Evan and agrees to run off with him. Evan kidnaps Nicole and Zoe and takes them away on his boat. When Evan tries to kill Zoe, Mac shoots Evan. Gunfire is exchanged. Mac is killed. Nicole saves Zoe and confronts Evan. Evan taunts Nicole and challenges her to go ahead and shoot hims. When Nicole hesitates, Evan laughs at her, calling her weak. But before he can shoot her, Nicole shoots him with a spear gun.

In the last days of World War II in Europe, Captain America, due to enhancement by a "Super-Soldier Serum", prevents the Nazis from launching an intercontinental missile. They are also soon revealed to be shape-shifting extraterrestrials led by one acting as SS officer Herr Kleiser. The exploding missile knocks the Captain out and he falls into the icy waters of the North Atlantic, presumed dead. 60 years later, Captain America is found and revived by a S.H.I.E.L.D. team led by General Nick Fury. Bruce Banner and Betty Ross lead a team of scientists working to recreate the Super-Soldier Serum in order to try to stop the real power that backed the Nazis - the alien Chitauri. Banner thinks the Super-Soldier Serum is the key to him controlling the Hulk, and he secretly uses his blood to try to create a cure, instead of using candidates that had been selected for the rebirth procedure. As Captain America reunites with his old friend James "Bucky" Barnes, he also learns that his past lover Gail Richards, is married to him and has lived a happy life. Despite being happy for his friends and everyone that he loved, Captain America still feels lost in the present world he is in, unable to find happiness like he wants to.

The film is a sub-story to Kirikou and the Sorceress rather than a straight sequel. The movie is set while Kirikou is still a child and Karaba is still a sorceress. Like Princes et princesses and Les Contes de la nuit, it is an anthology film comprising several episodic stories, each of them describing Kirikou's interactions with a different animals. It is however unique among Michel Ocelot's films, not only in that it is co-directed by Bénédicte Galup (who has previously worked with him as an animator) but also for each of the stories being written by a different person (in all other cases, Ocelot has been the sole writer and director of his films).

A volcano beneath New York City seems unlikely, yet nothing else can explain the bizarre tremors and terrifying explosions wreaking havoc on the city.
