Synopsis
1864. Le gouvernement tsariste, procédant à la russification de la Géorgie, ordonne la déportation des Tcherkesses du Caucase en Turquie. Les habitants d'une petite commune tranquille et prospère opposent une résistance aux Cosaques chargés de l'évacuation. Des provocateurs à la solde du pouvoir impérial incitent alors les villageois à signer une pétition auprès d'un général russe. Mais celle-ci est traduite en son contraire, c'est-à-dire en faveur d'une transplantation. En guise de refus, la belle Elisso, fille du Doyen, incendie le village sous les yeux impuissants des envahisseurs.Comments

In 450 A.D., the ruling Chinese dynasty is under constant threat from the Rouran tribes. The Chinese army conducts a nation wide draft. The King of Northumbria is killed during a Viking raid led by the fearsome Ragnar (Ernest Borgnine). Because the king had died childless, his cousin Aella (Frank Thring) takes the throne. Eve Tozer (Bess Armstrong) is a society heiress and flapper living the high-life in 1920s Istanbul. She needs to find her father (Wilford Brimley) before he is officially declared dead or risk losing her inheritance to his scheming business partner Bentik (Robert Morley).
