Synopsis
A shipment of gold bullion is stolen by three men in Arizona and buried near Waterhole No. 3. One of them is killed by Lewton Cole, who discovers a map to the buried treasure scrawled on a $20 bill.Actors

En pleine nuit, le 5 septembre 1972 alors que les jeux olympiques battent leur plein, un groupe de huit palestiniens s'introduit dans un bâtiment du village olympique hébergeant les athlètes de la délégation israélienne. Ils prennent en otage un groupe d'israéliens et abattent deux fuyards dès les premiers instants. Puis leur entraineur meurt à son tour. Il reste alors huit hommes entre les mains des palestiniens. La position délicate de l'Allemagne face au peuple israélien n'est que suggérée dans le film, mais est dans les esprits de tous en raison du souvenir amer qu'a laissé la Seconde Guerre mondiale, ne laisse pas au gouvernement allemand de cette époque le droit à l'erreur. Pourtant tout cela va se finir dans un bain de sang atroce inévitable.

The film was inspired by the 1970s heroine blaxploitation films such as Tamara Dobson's Cleopatra Jones (1973), and Pam Grier's Coffy (1973) and Foxy Brown (1974). The title character had a catchphrase; upon apprehending a criminal, Love would declare, "You're under arrest, Sugah!" The film proved a success, and consequently spawned a short-lived television series on the ABC network featuring Charles Cioffi as Love's supervisor, Lt. Matt Reardon, and later Jack Kelly as Capt. Arthur Ryan, the next supervisor. However, the series, financed on a meager budget and heavily sanitized to conform to Graves' religious morals (she had joined Jehovah's Witnesses since the making of the TV film), was eventually cancelled. One episode featured many of Graves' former Laugh-In co-stars such as Judy Carne, Jo Anne Worley and Arte Johnson in particular playing a mad bomber. Another notable guest star was Jaclyn Smith, who appeared in an episode entitled "A Fashion Heist.

The Luther family are poor sharecroppers living in the mountains of North Carolina. The father, Roy Luther (Rance Howard) is sickly and asks the second eldest daughter, Mary Call (Julie Gholson) to take over his role of father when he passes on. He instructs her not to tell anyone when he dies as doctors, undertakers and preachers "just take money." When the authorities discover he is dead, the children will be split up and put in foster homes since none of them are of legal age.
