Synopsis
Bogota, en Colombie. Le capitaine Philippe Boulier, dit « Le Squale » (Jean Reno) est chargé de surveiller les agissements de l'ancien colonel Zargas, devenu marchand d'armes.Actors

En 1123, pour avoir sauvé la vie du Roi des Francs, Louis VI, dit « le Gros », le comte Godefroy de Montmirail, dit « le Hardi », se voit promettre en épousailles Frénégonde de Pouilles, la fille du duc Fulbert de Pouilles. Alors que Godefroy fait route vers le château de sa promise, une sorcière lui fait absorber un breuvage à son insu. Ce dernier donne des hallucinations au comte, au point de lui faire assassiner, par erreur, son futur beau-père, qu'il a pris pour un ours. Afin de réparer sa faute, Godefroy demande conseil au mage Eusæbius, qui lui concocte une potion afin de le renvoyer dans le passé, peu de temps avant le drame.

Arrivés en 1793, en pleine Révolution française, Godefroy de Montmirail et son écuyer Jacquouille la Fripouille rencontrent Jacquouillet, descendant de Jacquouille et accusateur public, et se retrouvent empêtrés dans la tourmente de la Terreur. Godefroy est confronté à sa descendance de l'époque, qui essaie d'échapper à la Révolution : lui et son écuyer les aident à fuir et tentent de retrouver un descendant de l'Enchanteur pour rentrer à leur époque. At a bistro in the Montmartre district of Paris, IRA operative Deirdre (Natascha McElhone) meets with ex-special operatives-turned mercenaries Sam (Robert De Niro), Larry (Skipp Sudduth), and Vincent (Jean Reno), and takes them to a warehouse where fellow mercenaries Gregor (Stellan Skarsgård) and Spence (Sean Bean) are waiting. As the team prepares, Deirdre meets with her ex-IRA handler, Seamus O' Roarke (Jonathan Pryce), who reveals that the Russian mob is bidding for the case and the team must intervene. After Spence is exposed as a fraud by Sam and summarily dismissed, the others depart for Nice. Sam and Deirdre develop an attraction to each other during a stakeout. On the day of the sale, Deirdre's team ambush the convoy at La Turbie and pursue the survivors back to Nice. After a gun battle at the port, Gregor steals the case and disappears.

Several years after the events of the series, Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) and his team, the Impossible Mission Force, are assigned to retrieve the IMF non-official cover list from the American embassy in Prague. Héléna Bourdelle, called "The Bourdelle," is a great singer and wife of maestro André Bourdelle. Joining the Resistance, he is killed by the accidental explosion of a grenade. Following the defeat, the family's mansion is taken over by German forces, leaving the family occupying a few back rooms, complaining to the Kommandantur about his excesses and those of his men. Bourdelle, her daughters and their tenant help by chance an English soldier to escape and are then forced to hide him. The family, whose former caretaker Ramirez has become a Gestapo agent, is favoured by the General Spontz who has a soft spot for Bernadette Bourdelle. He is willing to ignore the fact that Guy-Hubert, son of the family, a seemingly cowardly and effeminate hairdresser, is actually the elusive vigilante known as "Super-Resistant".
