Synopsis
Ayant quitté leur maison du quartier, Le jeune adolescent Logan, traumatisé par la mort accidentelle de son père lors des provisions en pleine soirée, et sa mère Naomi, à court d’argent, arrivent en au lever du jour après avoir roulé toute la nuit dans une gigantesque maison de vacances appartenant à la famille, celle de la soeur maternelle. Le lendemain matin, dimanche, c’est la journée des portes ouvertes, ce qui les oblige à sortir en ville. Au retour, des bruits inquiétants apparaissent depuis le sous-sol et qui recommencent toutes les nuits : ils ont l’impression de ne pas être les seuls à y habiter…Actors

Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) and his mother Gale (Amy Ryan) move from New York to the fictional town of Madison, Delaware. Their new neighbors are the mysterious "Mr. Shivers" (Jack Black) and his daughter Hannah (Odeya Rush), but when Zach tries to introduce himself, Mr. Shivers warns him to stay away from them. Puppies from Washington become trapped in a truck heading to Ferntiuktuk, Alaska. On the outskirts of town is a large abandoned fort turned wooded park. The first scene opens with the coven preparing for a ritual, only to discover that Adrian (Rosemary's baby), now eight years old, is missing from his room. A hobo (Rutger Hauer) arrives by boxcar in Hope Town, its welcome sign repainted to read "Scum Town". Scum Town is ruled by a man known as "The Drake" (Brian Downey) and his sadistic, murderous sons Ivan (Nick Bateman) and Slick (Gregory Smith). Just as he arrives, the Hobo witnesses an amateur film maker (Pasha Ebrahimi) shooting a "Bumfight" movie. While pushing his shopping cart of recyclables through the streets, he sees a distressed, bloodied man wearing a manhole cover stockade screaming for assistance. Two cars approach the man revealing Ivan, Slick and The Drake. An argument ensues and it is revealed the man in the stockade is The Drake's younger and disliked brother, Logan (Robb Wells). The Drake explains to the townspeople that his brother will serve as an example of his control and carries out the public decapitation of Logan with a barbed-wire noose attached to The Drake's truck.
