Made in a tongue-in-cheek style of Men's adventure magazines, Nazisploitation and The Island of Lost Souls, the film was distributed by Astor Pictures as a double feature with Cunha's Giant from the Unknown.
Synopsis
During a tropical storm a pleasure boat is shipwrecked on an uncharted island and presumed sunk with all hands. The radio possessed by the four survivors can only receive but not transmit and they discover the island will soon be used by naval aircraft as a bombing target.Actors

Quatre naufragés dont la fille d'un milliardaire américain (Irish McCalla) échouent sur une île volcanique non cartographiée, mais dont il apparaît rapidement qu'elle sert de cible aux exercices de l'US Air-Force. L'un des naufragés étant rapidement abattu à coups de sagaie, les trois rescapés tentent l'exploration de l'île. Ils découvriront le cadavre d'un jeune femme au visage hideux, puis assistent à une danse exécutée par une douzaine de filles en tenue légère, et découvrent enfin un curieux laboratoire souterrain où un ancien criminel nazi (Rudolph Anders) se livre à d'étranges expériences de transmutation de peau afin de tenter de guérir sa femme gravement brûlée au visage. Les naufragés sont capturés, les deux hommes torturés et la femme d'abord courtisée par le dignitaire nazi, puis destinée à devenir sujet d'expérience. C'est à ce moment-là que le volcan se réveille.

During the siege of Richmond, Virginia, in the American Civil War, POW Capt. Cyrus Harding escapes from his Confederate captors in a rather unusual way – by hijacking an observation balloon. In his escape, Harding is accompanied by sailor Pencroft, his nephew Bert, writer Gideon, loyal soldier Neb, and a dog. A hurricane blows the balloon off course, and the group eventually crash-lands on a cliff-bound, volcanic, uncharted (and fictitious) island, located in the South Pacific, with very unusual inhabitants. They name it "Lincoln Island" in honour of American President Abraham Lincoln.

The appearance of an unknown "missile-like" object in nearby space leads a European nation (unnamed, but implied to be one of the countries behind the Iron Curtain) to fire a rocket at it. Though the rocket intercepts the unidentified object, the explosion only diverts the missile into an orbit around the Earth. Racing five miles above the earth, its passage causes widespread devastation of the land below.

After a nuclear holocaust in 2015 the survivors are divided between those who live in comfortable underground cities and the "New Primitives" who live in the sunlight. A group of these comes across a mysterious village. Despite the presence of numerous horribly mutilated corpses, the adventurers decide to settle in town after discovering a large amount of food, a greenhouse with various fruit trees and a reservoir of drinking water. Edges of Darkness tells the tales of three groups of survivors held up in an apartment complex during a zombie apocalypse. With their food supply dwindling, a vampire couple kidnaps a young girl. They intend to bleed her slowly to survive, but things don't go exactly as planned. Dean, an obsessed horror writer is holed up with his neglected wife, Dana.
