Sydne Rome (born March 17, 1951) is a United States-born, Italy-based film actress. Her first name is often misspelled Sydney or Sidney.
Born in Akron, Rome grew up in a wealthy family in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Her father was president of a plastics corporation in the Akron area. She started her career in 1969 in the British movie Some Girls Do. She then appeared in Italian films, often playing the young, seemingly innocent American abroad, and also in spaghetti westerns. Subsequently she made forays into German film and television.
At the beginnings of the 1980s, Rome became an icon of the aerobics craze and published workout videos as well as the album "Aerobic Fitness Dancing", produced by Frank Farian and recorded in German, Spanish and Italian. As a singer, she recorded the single "Angelo prepotente" (1980) in Italian, English ("For You") and German ("Wozu"). She also recorded a cover version of Marty Balin's hit "Hearts".
In 1973, she married Emilio Lari; subsequently, she married the gerontologist Roberto Bernabei. She has been living in Italy since the early 1970s.

Fille d'un homme d'affaires de l'Ohio, Sydne Rome s'installe en Europe à la fin des années 1960. Elle tient son premier rôle au cinéma dans le film britannique Some Girls Do (1969) puis travaille régulièrement dans le cinéma italien. En 1972, elle tient le rôle principal du film Quoi ?, réalisé par Roman Polanski avec également Marcello Mastroianni. Deux ans plus tard, elle partage avec Alain Delon la vedette du film français La Race des seigneurs. Luciano Baietti (Christian De Sica) is a man who has always taken advantage of the weakness of character of his wife Fiamma (Laura Morante) and his two sons Paul and Baldo. In fact, he, getting with deception, cheating, fraud and tax evasion for hotels and restaurant chains and small corporations, which now has abandoned his wife and children after marriage, psychologically destroying Fiamma and Baldo. Paul is the only one who has overcome the trauma, harboring a deep hatred of true parent and repeatedly threatened with death. After about twenty years of marriage, Luciano finds himself in trouble for all the tricks he did with his secretaries and Sticker Pillar who trust him blindly, and now must find a way out. Will find it in his youngest son Baldo which although has which 20 years is still a big kid dominated by the mother, who tries to rebuild his life creandosi a poor musical group of which he is the singer together with an old friend, but also his brother who treated as a mental patient. So Baldo, believing that review after so many years, the beloved father was invited to his villa why are headed all the properties and buildings that his father bought the scam. However, Luciano, who hopes to be saved from disaster by a second marriage is discovered, the wedding go awry, and he was arrested by the police. Baldo increasingly confused and desperate to return home to his family, and soon also joins Luciano, now reduced to a pauper after release from prison.
