Andrew Stanton (born December 3, 1965) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor based at Pixar Animation Studios. His film work includes writing and directing Pixar's A Bug's Life (1998) (as co-director), Finding Nemo (2003), and WALL-E (2008), and his first live-action film, John Carter (2012). He also co-wrote all three Toy Story films and Monsters, Inc. (2001)
Finding Nemo and WALL-E earned him two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature. He was also nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay, for Finding Nemo, WALL-E, and Toy Story (1995), and for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Toy Story 3 (2010).
He is currently in charge of directing the sequel to Finding Nemo, entitled Finding Dory, planned for 2016. Biography
Stanton vit à Rockport, Massachusetts. Il étudie l'animation des personnages. Sa premiere animation est avec le studio "Ralph Bakshi Productions" où il travaille sur le projet de " Mighty Mouse: Les Nouvelles Aventures" en cooperation avec Jeff Pidgeon, Tom Minton, Eddie Fitzgerald, John Kricfalusi, et Jim Reardon.
Andrew Stanton entre aux studios Pixar en janvier 1990 et en devient le 2e animateur (après John Lasseter).
À partir de 1995, il participe aux scénarios de Toy Story, 1001 pattes, Toy Story 2, Le Monde de Nemo, WALL-E et Toy Story 3.
Il réalise Le Monde de Nemo en 2003 puis WALL-E en 2008. En 2012 sort son premier long métrage en prises de vue réelles, John Carter, produit par les studios Disney. John Carter est un échec au box office.
