In 994, Castle Wyvern of Scotland is attacked by Vikings, led by the ruthless Hakon. The resident warriors struggle to repel the attack until the sun set, and at night, the seemingly lifeless stone gargoyle statues awaken, revealing themselves to be real living gargoyles. Goliath and his powerful gargoyle clan subsequently defend the castle and successfully forced the Vikings to retreat. The human captain of the guard sees them as heroes, but their heroism appears to do nothing to earn appreciation from Princess Katherine, the court wizard Magus, or the other human residents, most of whom still see their gargoyle protectors as monsters and treat them with prejudice. Goliath's lover and the Captain argued that the gargoyles deserve more praise and dignity, especially since their castle was built on top of the land that originally belonged to the gargoyles, but Goliath adamantly insists that they must endure being misunderstood and protect the castle and all of its residents. The Captain urged Goliath to take his clan away from the castle the following night, but Goliath remains determined to protect the castle.

Best friends for life, gym teacher Mike O'Hara (Daniel Stern) and plumber Jimmy Flaherty (Dan Aykroyd) are united by their love of Boston and its sports teams, especially the Boston Celtics, who are playing their last season in the old Boston Garden. When the Celtics drop Game 6 of the NBA Finals to the Utah Jazz, setting up a deciding Game 7 in Boston, Mike and Jimmy find themselves depressed and hopeless. On top of all this, Mike has moved back in with Jimmy after his wife Carol, fed up with his unhealthy obsession with the Celtics, left him and took their son Tommy with her. Jimmy and Mike stumble upon the Jazz's selfish, one-man-show shooting guard Lewis Scott (Damon Wayans) at a Boston nightclub. Hoping at first to get him drunk enough so he'll be hungover for Game 7, Mike and Jimmy pose as Utah fans. This however leads to them running into their idol Larry Bird (as himself), who scolds them for being what he thinks are "fair weather" fans. However, the pair get more than they bargained for when the next morning they end up kidnapping Scott after he wakes up at Jimmy's apartment. The two decide to hold Scott until after the game, reasoning that if they are going to prison, they might as well help the Celtics win in the meantime.
D3: The Mighty Ducks, 1h44
Directed by Robert Lieberman
Origin USA
Genres Drama, Comedy, Action
Themes Sports films, Ice hockey films, Children's films, Sports d'hiver
Actors Emilio Estevez, Joshua Jackson, Jeffrey Nordling, Heidi Kling, David Selby, Joss Ackland

The film opens as the Ducks are being awarded junior varsity hockey scholarships to Eden Hall Academy, a prestigious prep school that coach Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) attended. Bombay announces that he will be leaving his position as coach to take a job with the Junior Goodwill Games, much to Charlie's dismay. Bombay's spot is filled by former Minnesota North Stars player Ted Orion (Jeffrey Nordling). Initially the Ducks clash with Orion's disciplinary coaching tactics and his focus on defense over scoring. Orion abandons several Duck traditions and strips Charlie Conway (Joshua Jackson) of his Captain's 'C', stating that the tricks and tactics the team used in the Pee Wee league won't work at this level. He is proven right when, in their first game of the season, the Ducks take an embarrassing tie after losing a 9-goal lead. Orion is livid, but makes a valid point (about hockey and life) when he states that the Ducks won't be able to dominate every game and have to learn how to play "two-way hockey," not choking when the game isn't going their way. Charlie's only consolation is meeting Linda (Margot Finley), a young student petitioning to change the school's team name (The Warriors) as it perpetuates an offensive Native American stereotype. Though she initially writes him off as a mindless jock, the two start to hit it off.
