Keith James Ferguson (born February 26, 1972) is an American voice actor best known as the voice of Blooregard Q. "Bloo" Kazoo from the Cartoon Network animated series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Basch fon Ronsenburg from Final Fantasy XII. He also provides a number of "sound-alike" portrayals in the VO industry, including Harrison Ford's Han Solo and Indiana Jones in Robot Chicken and the voice of Owen Wilson's Lightning McQueen in Cars Toons.

Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organisms into beings who exist only to serve history's most villainous masters. A girl named Riley is born in Minnesota, and within her mind, five personifications of her core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger—come to life. The emotions live in Headquarters, Riley's conscious mind, where they influence Riley's actions and memories via a control console. Her new memories are housed in colored orbs, which are sent into storage at the end of every waking period. The most important or "core" memories are housed in a hub in Headquarters and power five "islands", each of which reflects a different aspect of Riley's personality. Joy acts as the dominant emotion to keep Riley in a happy state, but she and the others do not understand Sadness's purpose, other than making Riley cry.

Mater tells a story to Lightning McQueen about how he used to be a drift king. He is hired as a tow truck driver as he states he'll tow any car anywhere. The tow ends up being to Tokyo, Japan, and Mater tows the car there all away across the Pacific Ocean. While there, he is challenged to a drift race to crown the drift king, with the loser losing all custom modifications and becoming a "stock" car. Mater accepts, and is fitted with custom modifications of his own. As Mater is losing the race, Lightning Dragon McQueen shows up to help Mater fend off an attack by ninjas, allowing Mater to win the race.
