When Nicola Anders (Winona Ryder), the star of out-of-favor director Viktor Taransky's (Al Pacino) new film refuses to finish it, Taransky is forced to find a replacement. Contractual requirements totally prevent using her image in the film, so he must re-shoot. Instead, Viktor experiments with a new computer program he inherits from late acquaintance Hank Aleno (Elias Koteas) which allows creation of a computer-generated woman which he can easily animate to play the film's central character. Viktor names his virtual actor "Simone", a name derived from the computer program's title, Simulation One. Seamlessly incorporated into the film, Simone (Rachel Roberts) gives a fantastic performance, exactly controlled by Viktor. The film is immediately a huge success., 1h46

After breaking up for the summer, the four friends regroup for a party held by Stifler (Seann William Scott), their overtly sex-crazed class clown and friend. His party is shut down thanks in part to the neighbors calling the police. Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is inspired by his brother to make his summer with his friends count by renting a beach home. He, Jim, Oz and Finch plan to take off to a beach house together, where they intend to spend the summer. Kevin realizes a problem and worked out that they can only afford the house if they have a fifth member to work along with them. Stifler takes charge of much of the organizing, often ending up leading the group in their endeavors., 1h56

The Newton family is on a cross country vacation in the USA to join a Newton family reunion in California, and in an unexplained move, Beethoven must travel there with George's brother Richard (Judge Reinhold) and his family of a nagging wife Beth (Julia Sweeney) and two bratty kids Sara (Michaela Gallo) and Brennan (Joe Pichler) as they hit the road to California in a huge, shiny and expensive RV, equipped with a DVD player. Following them are two bumbling criminals who have hidden some secret codes on a DVD that they figure no one in the world will buy (The Shakiest Gun in the West), but someone does: Richard. So now they've got a DVD holding top secret information and the criminals must get it back. They are not only in trouble with the criminals but with Beethoven also. But after he saves Sara from the criminals the family becomes very sad knowing they have to give him back. After they get to California they find out from Richard's Uncle Morrie that George, Alice, and the kids will not be coming because of business reasons in Botswana which means they need to extend their visit for another year and will have to watch Beethoven longer which made everyone happy., 2h25

In October 1962, U-2 surveillance photos reveal that the Soviet Union is in the process of placing missiles carrying nuclear weapons in Cuba. President John F. Kennedy (Bruce Greenwood) and his advisers must come up with a plan of action to prevent their activation. Kennedy is determined to show that the United States will not allow a missile threat. The Joint Chiefs of Staff advise immediate U.S. military strikes against the missile sites followed by an invasion of Cuba. However, Kennedy is reluctant to attack and invade because it would very likely cause the Soviets to invade Berlin, which could lead to an all-out war. Citing The Guns of August, Kennedy sees an analogy to the events that started World War I, where the tactics of both sides commanders had not evolved since the previous war and were obsolete, only this time nuclear weapons are involved. War appears to be almost inevitable., 1h52

Mona Hibbard (Driver) is a young woman from a troubled home who has one overarching goal: to become the winner of the Miss American Miss pageant. Her mother is an alcoholic who graduates from berating her young daughter for not doing well in kids' pageants to declaring she will not provide any money or support for Mona if she keeps competing. Fortunately for Mona, she becomes best friends with Ruby Stilwell (Adams), who joins forces with her kind-hearted grandmother to help Mona as she begins her steady rise in the beauty pageant ranks. Unfortunately for Mona, she becomes pregnant and is horrified because women with children are not eligible for the MAM crown, and she has a young daughter (Eisenberg), but Ruby selflessly agrees to raise Vanessa as her own daughter. Mona becomes colder and meaner as she gets closer to achieving her goal, whether she's sabotaging a fellow contestant Leslie Stefanson on her routine and earning a lifelong enemy of an aspiring newscaster, or pawning all of her inconveniences onto Ruby while ignoring how obvious it is that Vanessa looks exactly like her, a path that leads to her victory in the Miss Illinois pageant. When Ruby is falsely accused of euthanasia and jailed, Mona is forced to take care of Vanessa, a task she is neither good at nor happy to do as she is afraid that her MAM crown bid will be ruined; Vanessa reacts to the situation by being angry and difficult to handle. Mona heads to the MAM showcase while her old enemy thinks she has a scoop about Vanessa's parentage, but only after being coldly rejected for a last time by her own worthless mother, which leads to her implying to Vanessa that she IS the girl's mom and can't say so in public. Mona also grows up when she desperately seeks guidance from jailed Ruby, only to have Ruby finally tell her friend that she needs to start taking care of her responsibilities. Mona comes to see that the pursuit of pageant fame is empty next to taking care of her family, and finally announces when she's made the MAM Final 3 that she is Vanessa's mom and is withdrawing from the pageant. But the judges see that the crowd is 100% in her favor, and change their rules so that Mona becomes the new Miss America Miss, as her old enemy finds her "scoop" and dreams of journalistic fame are both dead. Mona finishes the film as a happy mother to her little girl, a good friend to Ruby, and someone ready to turn the page on past turmoil and start a better life to come. Note: this movie is not to be mistaken with the book in which a beautiful woman (a., 1h35

The film begins in an illegal underground dog-fighting arena in Korea, where an FBI agent named John Maxwell (Paul Giamatti) has been identified. John is ordered to be killed by a Korean mob boss, but is eventually rescued by his undercover partner and master of disguise, Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence). Suddenly, a group of FBI agents storm around the arena. Meanwhile, a criminal named Lester Vesco (Terrence Howard), who was originally serving a life sentence in prison for murder and armed robbery, escapes from his cell by killing the doctor and stealing his car. The FBI assigns Malcolm and John to capture Lester by sending them to small-town Cartersville, Georgia to stake out the house of a fat, elderly African American woman named Hattie Mae Pierce (Ella Mitchell; whom her friends call "Big Momma"), the estranged Southern grandmother of Lester's ex-girlfriend, Sherry Pierce (Nia Long), who supposedly aided Lester in his original bank robbery by giving him the key to the vault. After Big Momma unexpectedly leaves town to help her ill friend within a couple of weeks, Malcolm and John sneak into her house to plant security cameras and tap the phones. Sherry later calls Big Momma's house and Malcolm disguises his voice as Big Momma in order to lure Sherry and possibly obtain a confession. The plan works, in which Malcolm and John work together on a Big Momma disguise costume before Sherry's arrival the next day., 2h19

In a Louisiana nursing home in 1999, Paul Edgecomb becomes nervous while watching the 1935 film Top Hat. He is with his elderly friend Elaine, who becomes concerned, and Paul tells her that the film reminded him of his past, when he was a prison officer in charge of death row inmates at the Cold Mountain Penitentiary during the summer of 1935. The scene shifts to 1935, where Paul works with fellow guards Brutus "Brutal" Howell, Harry Terwilliger, and Dean Stanton. Unlike the other guards, Paul is a very calm guard and is sympathetic with some inmates., 3h1

Kathryn asks her step-brother Sebastian to seduce Cecile; he refuses as he is planning to seduce virgin Annette Hargrove (Witherspoon), the daughter of their school's headmaster. Annette is a 'paradigm of chastity and virtue' who recently wrote a published essay about saving herself for marriage and has been temporarily staying with Sebastian's aunt. The two make a wager: If Kathryn wins, she gets Sebastian's vintage Jaguar XK140; if Sebastian wins, Kathryn will have sex with him.
